they work well and i have the confidence they will last another 20 plus years. the hydraulic swivel containing them was difficult to remove and install. Our shielded EMI air ventilation panels combine maximum shielding with minimal air flow resistance to provide optimal airflow for. the o rings i replaced failed from age, not wear. aircrat spruces product looked better and i had the confidence of manufacture date. An aircraft with a laminar flow airfoil should have its pitot tube located further aft to some point where the maximum camber of the wing occurs. also a third possible source, a local hydraulic supply company wanted 6 times more money then aircraft spruce, which had to be shipped frim another state, for the same o rings, of unknow origin, quality and specs. for aircraft utilizing the older airfoils (Clark Y, etc.), just so long as the pitot tube opening is about 5' or more below the surface of the wing.
Mfg says to replace if needed during inlet screen inspection & cleaning. API requires that P/N 2090255 auxiliary pump be. This auxiliary pump is designed to be installed in series with the engine driven fuel pump. i did not use the other product eventhough i paid for a faster priority delivery, and it arrived a day sooner, with ups, those rings were all in one bag and appeared to have been produced 9 years ago, and were more expensive. Fits RSA-5 servo fuel inlet screen fitting (same as Airflow Performance EX-5 servo). RV-8/8A builders with pre-punched fuselage kits from Vans (shipped since 2007) do NOT need to purchase an installation kit, only a fuel pump ES AIRFLOW PUMP-1 and filter ES AIRFLOW FILTER. i also ordered from another company, (original manufacture of the hydraulic swivel), to ensure product delivery during covid pandemic. individually packaged o rings, manufacture date and specs on each envelope.
